March Madness
Tonight was the sixth annual Ironworks March Madness party, a huge basketball extravaganza with food and drink, clients and employees. And huge televisions showing the game.
I made the best possible use of my time, out of the house without the baby: I spent the evening telling anyone who would listen about my boy.
I mentioned how advanced he is, such a champion crawler, what he says, how much he eats, the contents of his diaper. I told them how he gave me pinkeye, the diseases he has picked up at daycare, teething, and how well he plays with others. I shared how well he sleeps, how much he eats, how often I pump, how afraid I am of going out of town before he is weaned.
I have no idea which teams were playing, or what a bracket is exactly. But I know I have a big crush on my sweet bug, and I couldn’t wait to get home and snuggle with that sweet sleepy little guy.
