One Tough Bug
On his daily report from daycare, Ms. Cassie says she lowered his crib mattress today because he’s about ready to pull up. Maybe he already has and they just want to hear that he has done it at home first, so I don’t feel like I am missing all his milestones.
So tonight we put him on the floor and provided handholds, and he pulled himself up like it was the easiest thing in the world. He stood next to a chair and cruised a little, holding on to the cushion for support. A couple of times he let go and fell backwards, but in a very controlled way, sitting down first so he didn’t have his head so far from the ground. And I was behind him, of course, but he was doing it all on his own.
One day he can’t. The next he can. It’s like someone flipped the switch from baby to toddler. Don’t grow up too fast little bug.
