This morning A Year of Lex had 99,993 views on YouTube. At daycare, we gave Ms. Brenda a printout of the article from parentdish.com for her scrapbook. At the office, my coworkers sent screenshots of the video on the AOL/AIM home page under “What’s Hot.”
During the day we were contacted by the local NBC12 Richmond station and a local radio show. By the time I left to pick up our little celebrity there were over 158,000 YouTube views and the story had been picked up by more sites, including StrollerDerby.
Mostly the comments have been positive. The occasional ugly remark gets voted down by the community. Some people try to make it a political discussion or reblog it to support their own agenda, but the vast majority just love seeing our happy baby.
Makes me smile too. Every time. 260,894 smiles.
