After daycare, more surprises. Jaja was waiting for us at home. Bug gave big hugs to both his Grandpas. He is a really good hugger. He leans in close, snuggles tight and releases with a flourish. Getting a hug from him feels like a million bucks.
We had a little dinner party and Maura brought special lemon cupcakes. After we ate we all sang and presented the baby with a whipped-cream frosted cupcake sporting a single candle. Good practice for the big day. He tried to grab the lit end and we ended up helping blow it out.
Clearly we need to practice more, so he can show off some advanced candle-blowing skills in two weeks.
I think we will need more cupcakes.
