Week 40
This is a big week for celebrations.
Today Lex is 40 weeks, a bookend to the 40 weeks I carried him. He is two and a half times his birth weight and half again as tall. He is learning at an exponential rate and needs lots of sleep to process his new experiences.
When he is awake he goes 100 miles an hour. He has 5 teeth through and 3 more on the way. He is starting to grow some hair but it is so light blonde you can barely see it and he still looks bald in photos.
He is leaving babyhood behind too fast and hurtling towards toddlerdom. He is becoming so independant. He cruises farther and farther away from me. But he still loves to sit on my lap and read books, and snuggle when he falls asleep.
Sweet snugglebug. You will always be my baby.
