Nine Months
The boy turned nine months today and had his well-baby visit. He has gained 3 pounds and grown 2 inches in the last three months. He weighs 21 pounds, 4 ounces (65th percentile) and is 30 inches long (95th percentile). Two and a half feet tall!
Another mother had a baby in the waiting room who was almost 10 months but she commented that Lex looked “bigger.” I think she meant older, because her baby was quite a charming little dumpling, but not nearly as alert and interactive as our little guy.
I really am lucky to have him. I expect our family and friends to say he is something special, and I’m always gratified that strangers in the supermarket think so, but I am amazed when mothers of kids the same age seem impressed.
